"This property is directly across from the train station so it’s a great location if you are on the go. It is further away from the main Kyoto strip that we spent most of our time. I wish I had known that before booking but otherwise it was a great stay."

"Loved this hotel. This was my second time staying in a daiwa roynet hotel and I love all the amenities they provide. This hotel chain provides epsom salts in their amenities which is a life saver after walking a lot. They also have a coffee/tea machine"

"Our stay here exceeded our expectations. Rooms were clean, decent size, but it was the staff and amenities that made this property truely shine. The staff was extremely helpful, we didn’t expect to eat breakfast here but after trying one day, we decided to get breakfast at hotel as much as possible. Having a warm bowl of ramen at end of day was a really nice touch. The onsen was well maintained and amazing after a long day of walking. And the little touch of having free ice cream for after using onsen was especially nice. Has free washers and coin operated dryers which we did utilize. Will definitely book again on our next visit."

Lovely room, great bathtub, lovely welcome area with drinks and snacks and amazing breakfast / I tried all the local dishes including the silky tofu, beef Kobe curry and sticky rice, delicious french toast and wafers with red bean paste and chestnuts and the teriyaki sandwhiches. "The hotel needs a major refresh. The carpet in the room is visibly old and needs to be replaced. The vinyl flooring in the bathroom is stained and in terrible shape. The general cleaning for the actual room was good - the bathroom has a great shower. The bed was clean and the sheets were clean. The restaurants in the hotel are outrageously over priced. The morning buffet is also over priced - and they close too early. At 10:00 am they shut it down with no warning. The first time we got caught off guard and hardly had enough to eat. The other times we loaded up our trays to the brim so we would have enough food. The dinner menu is good but again over priced and the portions small. The location is outstanding right at the train station and close by is a great department store. The carpet in the hallway is very dirty - there we crumbs on it for three days. And the corners of the walls were in bad shape. The price is very high. I would stay elsewhere and take a taxi to the train station as it would be cheaper and I am sure I could get a nicer up to date hotel."
