"This was a perfect place to experience Japan. It had traditional Japanese accomodations and food but also with many high tech conveniences. The staff was very helpful in getting us taxis to easily visit locations like the imperial palace or the Bamboo Forest. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to have a great experience in Kyoto. "

"This is a wonderful boutique hotel on a quiet street in Kyoto. It is a great place to stay to feel less like a tourist since the crowds are far away. Plenty of small restaurants and bars nearby and a bakery that is very popular (and good) nearby. The staff were very helpful and attentive. You can walk to transportation in 5-10 minutes."

"This 115 year old ryokan was absolutely gorgeous. The room was beautiful and very clean. The staff were so kind and welcoming, ensuring that everything I needed was taken care of. If you are visiting a don’t speak Japanese fluently, they speak English as well. The breakfast was absolutely amazing too! I cannot stress how much I recommend staying here. I personally loved the “chrysanthemum room” (Kiku) since I was directly in front of the garden."
