"Absolutely wonderful stay here. Staff were fantastic and helpful. Food was excellent and the accommodation was beautiful. Could not ha e wished for anything more."
"Our stay at the Shijo Takakura Hotel grandreverie was great! It was the most memorable room of our trip to Japan, a great design and lots of space. The stone shower and bathtub were especially luxury. The staff was incredibly attentive. It's the one place we'd immediately go again!"
"Great 3-night stay at Kyoto. Check-in was very smooth and the property was very clean and I liked the traditional tadami style. Location was very close to subway/bus and was easy to get to the major locations. Definitely recommend for visiting Kyoto."
"The staffs were very kind, and the facility was very clean and neat. My family loved the atmosphere. We were able to enjoy Japanese style room very much. I definitely would love to book this hotel again. I appreciate all the staffs"
"We had a great stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very big. We loved having a table inside the room where we could eat. We enjoyed breakfast in the room."
"Incredibly quiet area, still in walking distance from central attractions in Kyoto. Apartment was well furnished, with all amenities included, including a smart tv. Would highly recommend"

"Very well maintained. Room was lightly cleaned with fresh towels everyday. Location was a good central point in walking distance to Nishiki market and one stop from Kyoto Station for easy commuting to all the sights you’ll want to see in Kyoto."
"I read great reviews about this hotel and it really matches my expectations. The room is good size, I was able to open my large luggage to pack. They provide daily housekeeping, filtered water and there is a public bath where you can relax your muscle at the end of the day. I love that you can check the availability of the washing machines and public bath on the tv. The biggest con is the kettle, the outside is made of plastic and when boiling water it kept making weird sound, seems cheaply made. Even though the hotel is great, I may not stay here again because of its locations. It is centrally located, but after travelling a week in Osaka and walking 20k steps a day, I really want to walk as little as possible. I had to take the subway for just one or two stops everyday, which is a waste of time. I may rather stay somewhere closer to Kyoto station or Shijo-dori next time. "
"Ideal location for your visit in Kyoto. Minutes walk to a Nishiki Market, not too far from Sannenzaka and easily easily accessible Kawaramachi-Dori street. You can leave luggage to front desk with tag before check-in if you don’t want to waste too much time. Would gladly come back without a doubt."
"This is by far one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in, in a long time. It had so much room, a huge shower with water fall shower head, comfortable beds, nice washer and dryer, erc. Highly recommend staying here."
"Breakfast was amazing and the tranquility is breath taking. Will definitely book again. Great value for money. Only thing is rooms need updating but still absolutely old world feel which is good. Very clean!"
"The rooms were big and comfy, the onsen was also really relaxing. My only concern was there was no ice bath to cool off in but other than that it was very nice. They offer free ice pops as well which was amazing. The massage chairs however were always occupied so we didn't get to use them. The pillows and mattress are also very firm but surprisingly we would wake up with no back pain. In terms of closeness, it's about a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station. We really enjoyed our stay here regardless"
"This was my favorite stay in Japan. We stayed on the 12th floor with the most picturesque view of Tokyo tower. The amenities were perfect and the location was perfect as it is located in the Kyoto station. Highly recommend. The staff was also amazing. "
