I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Luma by Kavia, and when I return to Cancun, I expect to book with them again. For those interested in traveling to Cancun for a "medical/dental vacation", this option is much less expensive than the hotel district, very quiet, and quite pleasant. Also, the surrounding restaurants and stores have better prices here. My favorite restaurants in the area were Gory Tacos (say hi to Bart) and Baovegan, an excellent vegan restaurant. Hotel was very clean and quiet.

Big spacious rooms Very clean Good quality beds Good wifi, air conditioning Great location The only problem is that there is zero soundproofing - you can hear all of your neighbours talking easily. Just remember to bring earplugs and it will be a great choice. I would expect such a hotel to be double the price
