「We did have to switch rooms due to a fishy odor in one room but the hotel gave us a new room immediately . Everything else was absolutely wonderful . The pools were actually heated ! Just wonderful ! The restaurant served a fruit salad that had gone moldy but it was hard to spot and they fixed the situation promptly . We enjoyed our stay overall very much . The warm pools even outdoor ones made up for any other glitches . 」

「I’m not one for negativity but I am one for honesty so here we go… I booked this room because of the price but also because it advertised that there was a shuttle service that brought residents to downtown Charleston, which was amazing as I wouldn’t have to worry about ride sharing or renting a car. When we arrived, we were informed that there is no longer a shuttle service and that it’s because of new management? There are 2 buildings for the hotel, the main one and then a motel-like structure...

「I have re-written this review three times now because I'm having a hard time saying anything good at all about this place. Dirty Myrtle explains it perfectly. From check-in (took almost an hour in line) paying $15/day for parking in a smelly, dark, dirty, sketchy basement, to an incredibly dirty-feeling and outdated room (that had a burning smell), to only two elevators working for 14 flights of rooms in Building 1. 「The room was not properly cleaned, hair clogged in the shower drain that my husband had to clean out because when showering the water was overflowing onto the floor…staff was rude when I asked for cleaning supplies to clean the room because they said it was late 10pm and housekeeping was not available to come up and clean our room but that they could accommodate us by moving us from the 12th floor with views to the 6th floor.」
