Have stayed there for at least 30 years. There are many other hotels around but the location is great, staff is always friendly rooms are clean. Good value. I’ve tried other hotels and always go back.

Great room (we had a quad) mini fridge stocked and free also snacks in room included. Breakfast was exceptional lots of variety. Good location. We used the car service to pick us up from the cruise port and bring us to the hotel. Also used to airport. Nice size room - we would stay here again for sure.

​We had a wonderful experience staying at Þingholt by Center Hotels. From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and helpful. Arriving off an early flight, we were thrilled when they accommodated an early check-in for us at 10:00 AM—it made a massive difference to our trip and set such a positive tone for our entire stay. ​The room was spotless, comfortable, and maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness throughout our visit. Breakfast every morning was simply fantastic. They offer an extensive spread with bacon, eggs, fresh pancakes, fruit, and virtually everything else you could want to fuel up for a long day of sightseeing. Also, we had an early check-out at 4:30 AM, so they gave us a grab-and-go breakfast, a croissant and coffee as well. ​The location is unbeatable. It is situated right in the center, making it easy to walk everywhere in downtown Reykjavik. Best of all, it is just steps away from Bus Stop 3, which made tour pickups and drop-offs completely seamless and stress-free. ​Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay here again!

One elevator down really made it difficult for guests to commute freely up and down to use the facilities. Waited over an hour on the floor with luggage for 30 mins before it came downs

The two employees Teo and Vasilis absolutely solidified this 5 star review. They were both incredibly helpful throughout our entire time at the hotel and always had us laughing. The rooms and pool were both clean. The free breakfast was your standard buffet. Again I would highly recommend this place for the staff they were all excellent.

I had bed bugs in my room.

The location is great. Our room was clean spacious and comfortable. We did not care for the breakfast that was included. We have had such great coffee in Rome and The coffee was really bad with very little caffeine. No choice of eggs except scrambled and they were not good. There was a lot of meat and cold cuts which we do not eat. No ripe fresh fruit.
