A very strange 5-star hotel experience...
Their main restaurant was closed on Monday, and the only other place to eat was the hotel bar.
I asked the staff to book a massage for me, but they simply pointed me to a QR code, which didn’t work. There seemed to be no other way to book, such as calling the spa directly. When I eventually went downstairs to the spa to ask how to book, they gave me a completely different website. It also turned out that the spa is run by a separate company and is not actually part of the hotel.
The spa facilities themselves are tiny and crowded. There also didn’t seem to be enough staff at reception, as there was almost always a queue.
Another thing to be aware of is that around half of the rooms face the inner courtyard, which is quite dark. We had one of those rooms, and it felt dark inside pretty much all day.
The hotel itself is beautiful, though, which makes all of the above even more disappointing for a 5-star property.
