"We stayed at the WE Toya as our home base for a Rusutsu ski trip. It was fabulous. The onsen was so lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. We never ate at the restaurant for dinner, but the breakfast buffet was super. The rooms are very large and the one time the onsen was closed for cleaning, we used the balcony tub and it was delightful. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Grand old hotel. The traditional Japanese and western bedrooms are both very good, with a lovely view of the lake on one side of the hotel. The in-room bathrooms spoil it; they are past their prime. Buffet had an enormous, interesting and delicious variety of food. Both onsens are excellent, parricularly the far outdoor one. Men's and women's facilities are swapped once per day, so both genders get to try both ends. Great location on the lake and near eateries, shops and transport."
