"This hotel was one of our favourites in Japan. It is a beautiful property inside and outside. The attention to detail in every aspect is appreciated. The staff are friendly, kind and able to support you with any queries. The room is large and has all the amenities you could ever need. The location is close to many of the beloved shrines and temples. Lots of transportation options with access to city bus and subway. Lots of walking paths to explore the Higashiyama district. Loved our stay in Kyoto. "

The onsen was wonderful, and the breakfast was hands down the best we’ve ever had—an incredible variety and beautifully prepared.
