By far the best hotel we stayed during our whole Japan vacation (it is 5🌟…. Did not expect less) excellent from start to finish, we had a family room, which was enormous for Japan standards (4 single beds) toilets was large and spacious compared to the tiny one we used during our trip. Only downside is the location of the hotel, it was out in the sticks abit, so getting around was a bit of a struggle as the nearest metro was a good 15min walk and any nearby facilities was far too! There was a shuttle bus service from hotel to the city centre if you was heading that way, but of course you could pop on the metro from there. Otherwise a really superb hotel to stay a few nights, shame about location though

Excellent hotel, clean roomy, modern. Breakfast was amazing choice of western or Japanese. Not central but has shuttle every 20 mins to nearest station. I would stay here again.

Amazing stay at this 5 star hotel. The staff were extremely helpful from check in to check out, the service was outstanding, and the rooms were stunning ontop of very clean. Each day, our room was cleaned by housekeeping, and the AC in room is super helpful for Kyoto hot summers. The breakfast in hotel is also amazing, with a variety of items to choose from both western and japanese.

This hotel is the absolutely signature of japanese hospitality, manners and esthetics. This was a layover hotel for us in kyoto, but truly wished we could of stay longer. The reception staff was truly helpful and polite. Definitely recommend this to everyone!!

Very nice hotel. Spacious room with 4 beds for 4 of us. Very clean. Staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great. There are many different teas in the room and everything you need in the bathroom are provided. I especially loved the shampoo and the conditioner. Easy checking in and out. We really enjoyed and will stay there again on the next trip to Kyoto.

The hotel is conveniently located to reach Shijo Dori or Kyoto Station or most of the tourist locations. Air conditioning was not working very well and it was difficult to keep the room under 80F. The staff is not always very friendly. Breakfast is supposed to be available until 10:30am with last order at 10am but even when arriving at 9:40 we were told to hurry

This propery was quite luxurious. There was an excellent breakfast choice between two restaurants, including some creative food (e.g. soy milk and rose jelly). The hotel shuttle was frequent and helped avoid a 15 minute walk to the subway. Note that the staff was not flexible when it came to check-in time.

I had a very good stay there, the only downside is the location. It sits in a quiet residential area, the closest transportation station is10 minutes away, but I don’t have the problem at all. The Kyoto gyoen national garden is very close, that is a big plus.
