5/5 - Excellent
There are some truly good restaurants not that far from this location, about a 30 minute drive. A rural location, but such a hidden gem.

My wife and I loved this spot. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the unit was very clean and well maintained. The view of the Ocean was excellent and the grounds were beautiful as well! This place is a great place to get away from the busyness of Kona and Hilo. I very rarely write reviews but ...

We enjoyed sitting on the large balcony, even in the pouring rain. I took the forest walk - how special to tromp through th “jungle” ...

Nice place, quiet. Enjoyed hiking Kilauea Iki trail at Volcano and Punalu'u beach snorkel. 4 or 5 green sea turtles in water close to rocks eating seaweed.

No restaurants in Pahala however a nice 7 mile drive to the town of Naalehu takes care of this matter.
Expect to drive, there isn't much around.
Pahala had a nice Hospital and Senior Center plus a small store.
