There are some truly good restaurants not that far from this location, about a 30 minute drive. A rural location, but such a hidden gem.

The room was clean. The staff was courteous. The hotel is a little tucked away and quiet. Slow at refilling coffee and breakfast items. We asked someone and they immediately attended the continental breakfast buffet.

Why not spend a carefree afternoon at Punalu'u Beach during your travels in Punaluu? Stroll along the black-sand beaches or discover the area's mountain views.
Take the family on an outing to Kaʻu Coffee Mill during your trip to Pahala. Stroll along the beaches or discover the area's volcano viewpoints.
After visiting Wood Valley Temple, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Pahala. Wander the beaches and seaside in this family-friendly area.






There are some truly good restaurants not that far from this location, about a 30 minute drive. A rural location, but such a hidden gem.
No restaurants in Pahala however a nice 7 mile drive to the town of Naalehu takes care of this matter.
Expect to drive, there isn't much around.
Pahala had a nice Hospital and Senior Center plus a small store.
It is a quiet, small town in a beautiful spot that exemplifies a different time on Hawaii. That does cut both ways a bit, though, of course, don't come out expecting bright lights and show tunes.
