Volcano Rainforest Retreat sleeps 5- Halema'uma'u
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (6)
"Beautiful location near Volcanoes National Park and Volcano Village. Quiet, rain-forest grounds with fiddleheads, ferns, anthurium on walking path to hot tub. I was traveling with my hula sister and we wanted to watch the Merrie Monarch Festival on TV. The television was old with poor reception. I tried to contact the host through VRBO but couldn't get through. Called the VRBO help line and they cut me off so we watched on my computer instead. Glad I had it with me! Otherwise a pleasant stay."

Volcano Acres Ranch B&B
3.0 star property

"If only we could have stayed longer! We had booking the glamping unit, but because of water issues Theresa switched us to the Bungalow, which was so cosy. She agreed alternative breakfast arrangements as we had to leave early on checkout. We only had time to meet the chickens and ducks at the doorstep, but we saw the donkey and goats sheltering from the rain! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're making a trip to Volcano NP. "

A Private Getaway in a Tropical Rainforest Garden- One mile from National Park
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (202)
"This was our second trip to this property and time & the owner's pride in it has only made it better. We never tire of visiting Kilauea when we visit the Big Island and Jim's lodging is only about a mile from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. Its when you end the day however, that his place is special. It is literally in a living garden of tropical plants. To look out the window and see anthuriums, if only those as there are far more types of flowers, is wondrous. A walk through his...

"Impossible to beat the proximity to Volcanos NP. The price point is fantastic relative to similar properties. The rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. "General speaking, this hotel/resort is in very good condition. However, it's not good if you need to find a restaurant in a hurry as there is no one nearby.
