"The lodge is spectacularly located a mile from the world’s most active volcano. Amazing views and easy access to miles of trails. At 4,000 ft elevation, the air is cool. We wore long sleeves and jackets in August. The rooms are clean and comfortable, old fashioned with windows that open and no AC. The lobby areas need to be refurbished but were also clean. We didn’t try the restaurant. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. "

"Great B&B! Owner had prompt communication and provided several helpful tips. Loved having an our own private Hale which was outfitted with all the essentials including comfortable King bed. Kitchenette had mini-fridge with freezer. toaster-oven & microwave, coffee & tea in the room plus custom ordered breakfast (egg sandwich, omelette, or waffles) that came with a delicious papaya fruit bowl delivered to the room. We enjoyed being on the edge of town. So quiet!! And, only 10mins to Volcanos Nat Park which was excellent location when the eruption started at 2am!! This is a mini-ranch with many adorable animals( ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, donkey etc) You can even arrange to feed them. If you’re not an animal lover, be aware, but we really enjoyed the rural setting and watching all the critters while eating breakfast. We even had a goat kid on the hood of our car one morning. So cute! There’s a large manual gate to maneuver as you drive in & out and also a stone/dirt driveway which could be challenging for anyone with walking instability. We loved everything about our stay at Volcano Acres Ranch! "

"When we arrived at the house we were in awe! And after a week here, the yard at the house is by far one of the best! Extremely well maintained, good layout, and they let you eat the fruit from the trees. The gazebo in the backyard is a true sanctuary, and we felt blessed to be able to yogi in it. The pool was a dream and our kids loved to swim in it at any time we’d let them. The views from back there are unmatched as well. When you get the windows open and the wind is going it’s so relaxing in the house. The house itself you can tell is extremely well maintained and in a safe and well watched/maintained neighborhood! We loved everything about it and hope to come back again one day. "
