"My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon and were extremely impressed with the hotel. Our room was extremely spacious and having our own bath thay can be drawn with hot spring water was a huge plus. Unfortunately, you cannot enter the public onsen if you have tattoos, but we were still avle to make the best of it. Highly recommend getting the dinner and breakfast options! "

"Staff went above and beyond at every opportunity. The onsen was super peaceful and we loved hanging out and dining by the fireplace in the living room. Rooms were spacious and clean and the shuttle was very helpful. Just be sure to arrange for transportation ahead of time if you are doing things away from the hotel after shuttle hours. "

"Excellent customer service, good food, nice French and Japanese meals provided daily during stay. Hotel is dated and need some facelift. Love the 3 on-site Onsens, saw an amazing sunrise on last day at hotel. Would come back to Hotel New Akao if going to Atami again. "
