"Excellent hosts. Rooms very clean and well maintained. You need to be comfortable sleeping on tatami mat floor on a futon but it was part of the experience in visiting Japan for us. We did not try the food as we wanted to explore the cuisine in the town. Great location that was walkable to many sites and the shopping district and easily accessible to transit."

"We loved everything in this place and we were sad to leave and we would go back any time! The place is beautiful, central, warm, welcoming, exceptionally clean. The staff was extremely professional, helpful, caring, gentle. We loved the breakfast, everything was fresh, delicious, and everyday there were new different dishes to try. Coffee, water and tea were available anytime of the day. The bar was a pleasant retreat at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The rooms will be small, it will be hard to open a large suitcase. But, this is Gion, the oldest and most charming neighborhood in Tokyo, so space does not matter. I fell in love with the beds and the shower, if only one could take them back home ;) We were not able to try the onsen for various reasons, but all the guests we talked to who did were very happy. This hotel will be on top of our list on our next visit. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. "
