Nonetheless, we found two cockroaches in the room, our pillows were old and formless, the bathroom sink's handle came out of its hinges, the showerhead was defective and did not offer a comfortable spread of water and finally they had a scheduled construction right next to our room window and while having other rooms available, failed to inform us and give us a chance to move. "Yes, this is a motel and was once known on the island as more of a short-stay spot, but they've made some major improvements! The place looks really nice now. It’s clean, renovated, and the indoor private pool was a great addition and definitely worth it. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and attentive. They got us ice and an extra blanket right away. We really enjoyed our stay. The only downside? A lack of outlets — that’s it! "
