"They really spend time thinking about what a family needs to have a great vacation and they went above and beyond in many areas. Our room was always cleaned meticulously, and there were many extra touches along the way that really made the trip - gifts for the kids that we actually needed and used (sun protection, baby cutlery, sippy cup, beach toys, etc), spare sunscreen, good entertainment each night, strollers, daily kids activities, and a family friendly atmosphere. There was a lot of walking and stair climbing, which we didn’t mind, but if you’re a person with mobility issues, this might not be the resort for you. There are ramps to get down to most areas, but a lot of those ramps require going a long way around and there are no elevators. Food service took some time - for us it was more of an issue due to a very active 1 year old who hates sitting in a chair for more than 30 minutes at a time. We never made it to dessert at the a la carte restaurants. But breakfast and lunch were consistently great. The buffet was also typically quite good, but if you go right at the beginning of dinner, some of the food trays aren’t fully warmed up yet. We quickly learned to get the food that was off the grill instead just to be safest. Overall, we loved the resort and would absolutely come back. The beach was lovely, we got to see lots of wildlife, and we were consistently impressed by the level of service we were provided at every step of the journey. An excellent choice for families"

"The hotel does not include extras you may expect like coffee and drinking water. It is difficult to swim at the beach because of the rocks and shallow entry. The owner owns most all of the hotels and restaurants along this strip so there isn’t much competition for prices. Better to walk a block up for better prices in the restaurants. They also own an apartment complex nearby and the residents are allowed access to the pool area at Hotel Meson, so it may see busier than you would expect with people doing daily business rather than just relaxing. One guy came every day and listened to the news loudly in the middle of the lounging area. Staff was nice and laying in the hammocks in the warm evenings was a highlight. "
