everything was great, the food never disappointed us, our room and so spacious and clean, the staff was alway on a good mood especially the bartenders at the pool !

This was our favorite appetizer at the Japanese restaurant Kyoto
Shrimp salad !

Food from one of the four restaurants (steak & seafood) it was delicious

Staff and service was great, clean and well kept resort. Restaurants were good, buffet was as you would expect at an all inclusive, nothing special but always could find something to everyone. Overall a great stay.

Stayed here for 7 nights with family in presidential suite. Room was nice but out dated: Staff was nice but nothing exceptional about the customer service. Beach front property with a nice private beach. Pools are nice. THE FOOD…. now the food needs lots of improvement, LIKE MAJOR IMPROVEMENT!!! Buffet was horrible!! We tried all 4 of the restaurants and the only decent one was the Italian restaurant. Customer service at the restaurants was good and presentation was good but the food taste was below average, 2 Stars on food taste.

The location is wonderful but the resort is not great. Poor food handling practices gave all members of our party terrible guts throughout the trip. Staff seem disengaged and robotic, there's no energy or soul here at all. One of our rooms had no hot water and they refused to assign a new room. Will not be returning.

Overall, this stay was nice. The room was great, it was clean, welcome champagne & snacks were sweet. Generally, everyone was pretty nice. We did have an encounter with an extremely rude staff member that made my heart a little sad. This was my mom‘s first time at an all-inclusive and I was trying to show her how awesome it was. One of the nights, Friday November 28th 2025 at Capri, we were treated ruder than we’ve ever been treated at an all-inclusive resort, and I have been too many. I just couldn’t believe it. My son was a little late to dinner and she threw an absolute fit, even though I knew what he wanted to drink and what he wanted to order for food. It wouldn’t have held up the table at all & there were many other tables open & available at this time in the restaurant. She spoke down to us and I still am shocked by the rudeness. My mom had actually arrived to our reservation early, with my brother and Nephew, and they misunderstood the dress code and didn’t realize the boys had to be in pants. They sat out there waiting for 15 minutes for us to get there and the hostess who had clearly looked them over, didn’t even tell them that the boys needed to be wearing pants. She waited until she was ready to seat us (after her rude fit towards us) and then looked at them and said they can’t come in with shorts. Just sad. Food was good, though. I did miss pool side food service, and beach food, & drink service. But like I said, we had a nice time overall.

We loved the jungle scenery in the back ground all around the resort. Beach was nice, but it was small. But we knew that booking the resort. Food was mediocre. The restaurants were nice but the only buffet was limited and not anything to write home about. It says mismaloya is 17km outside of PV which it is but the road is windy so if you’re looking to go into PV a lot it’s quite the drive. Almost an hour to the airport. The swim up bar was in the kids pool for some reason seemed kinda backwards. Overall we had a nice stay but because of location and mediocre food we’ll probably stay back in Bucerias/PV area

The room was spacious and although it is an older resort it is kept clean. We did notice tiny ants in our room. Do not leave any food out. The resort is geared towards Canadians and Europeans. Even though we are in Mexico, the music and entertainment is mainly in English. I enjoy visiting different countries to enjoy the culture (cuisine, music, language, customs, etc). I was extremely surprised at the lack of joy and customer service. This is the first resort in Mexico where the employees do not smile nor go out of their way to provide the best service. I travel at least twice a year and Mexico is known for the best customer service. I will not be recommending this resort to friends and family. The food was good. I would be cautious with food that has been obviously sitting out all day (snack area at the bar).

This place was amazing. Rooms were clean and very spacious. Loved the den like area that had a twin day bed with a pullout. There was a coffee maker, a housecoat two pairs of slippers that came in handy. Loved the bathroom with its big shower and the vanity close up mirror with lights.

Very nice place. Activities not included. Food was terrible, and for that alone I do not recommend this all inclusive experience. The staff went above and beyond in making sure our stay was suitable to our needs.

This is our second time staying at a Barcelo resort. The first time we stayed at Barcelo in DR and were impressed so we decided to book Barcelo in PV. Let me tell you, both resorts were completely different and the Barcelo in PV did not meet our expectations, we thought we were getting the same amenities as in the DR keep in mind it was about the same price. To begin with, the staff was AMAZING, that resort would not be what it is without its staff and truly if it wasn’t for them I would never return to this Barcelo. The room was great, definitely bigger with a nice view. The cleaning service however wasn’t that great, they would simply just make the beds, they wouldn’t wipe down counters or mirrors so I doubt they did anything other than that. The food was a huge disappointment, unlike the other resort where you could make a dinner reservation for each day stayed, here it would depend on days stayed max was 3. This wouldn’t have been a problem if they had anything other than 1 buffet and a snack bar with LIMITED hours. You’re literally paying for one buffet and a snack bar that serves terrible food. By day 3 we were tired we had to seek food outside. This defeats the all inclusive purpose. I think this out of all was the biggest disappointment. Also, the beach at this resort isn’t that nice, you have to leave the resort to find a better beach. This hotel is also far from the village. I honestly say go somewhere else if you want to spend less.

The food was lacking in all aspects. Got food poisoning, was sick in the room for half the stay. Some staff seem miserable to be there and lack proper training for food handling. Overall would never stay here again. Would actually like a partial refund for the time we spent sick in the room unable to enjoy our vacation

We had a great 7 night stay at Barcelo in November 2025. Our group of 10 were split into both towers. The standard rooms were larger than we expected and the family suite had two rooms and two bathrooms. We enjoyed the restaurants, but almost preferred the buffet as the options changed daily. The beach was small but beautiful and welcoming. There was so much shade covering the pool which was great for our group as none of us burnt! The staff was probably the best part of the trip! Cesar in the Premium lounge was so welcoming and helpful in whatever we needed (including our daily Spanish lessons), the entire entertainment staff at the pool and evening shows (especially Fernando) kept our group busy, and Gerardo at the pool bar made sure we had a good time! We met some friends from places near and far. The resort is small enough that you feel safe and recognize people throughout your stay. We will be back and can’t wait to see the staff again! <3

We enjoyed the amenities, however felt that the food quality could have been better in respect to flavor. In addition a bit of more hospitality around the pool and beach lounge chairs would of gone a long way for a full 5 star review. There is room for improvement.
