"When we first arrived, Fernando was able to greet us at the home for a 9 am check-in, which was much appreciated. However, we were immediately told that the house key had been lost by the previous tenant. He advised us to leave the front door unlocked and just close the gate when leaving. He assured us he’d return shortly with new keys, but that never happened. He also mentioned the main floor central AC thermostat wasn’t working and that a repairman would come fix it. That never happened either.As a result, the bunk bed room, main floor entertainment area, and kitchen stayed uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. The pool had floating plastic in it when we arrived. Fernando said a pool tech would stop by later that day to clean and treat it. Once again, that never happened.Despite these things, we were easy going tenants. Ordering ride shares and food/grocery deliveries was also a hassle due to the strict security at the Pedregal neighborhood gate. The recommended villa driver was too expensive, and walking those steep hills was no joke.That said, the villa’s incredible ocean view made up for a lot. The gas grill worked great, beds were very comfy, the showers had hot water, & the kitchen was equipped enough for a few quick meals. The ice machine being out of service, was annoying in the heat when making drinks. A heads-up before check-in would have been cool. Still, the villa was a solid base camp for our group of 8 guys. Although a bit proud on pricing, Id stay again. "

The unit was spotless and gorgeous. We will absolutely definitely always come back to the spot. I especially loved that they had a filtration system for the water. That’s a big plus for me, especially in Mexico."

"Our group of five adults had a wonderful 10-day stay at Casa Cathleen in March. The villa is spacious, stylish, and perfectly suited for a family or group getaway. We loved the heated pool, the stunning views of downtown Cabo and the marina, and the incredible sunrises and sunsets from the spacious patio—perfect for morning coffee and evening margaritas.The location is great—close to town, though there are steps down to the property and then more steps going down to town. We appreciated the fun little bucket lift for part of the climb back up! We also rented a car and parked at the marina in the evenings, which made coming and going easy.The home had been rented for several months before us, so a few basics were missing (like hair dryers, bedroom lamps, and mirrors), but we let Mike, the owner, know and he was responsive and appreciative of the feedback. We’re confident he’ll continue to improve the guest experience.Fernando, the concierge, was outstanding—helpful, kind, and always available. He helped us with groceries, luggage, and even arranged a beautiful sunset cruise. Mary Lou, the housekeeper, did a great job cleaning every other day.Overall, we had a fantastic time at Casa Cathleen and would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable, scenic retreat in the Pedregal. With a few small updates, it’ll be even better!"
