「The staff were very helpful and nice, the bed and bedding were decent, as was the breakfast. Unfortunately it's on the main Derby road (A6) in Milford which is a couple of miles away from Belper centre. The room was incredibly hot due to the recent weather (naturally) but the window in room 3 has no means of keeping it open as the window stay bracket has broken. A fan was provided but made little difference. The toilet seat is also broken.」

「The breakfast was excellent the staff went out if their way to ensure I had everything I needed. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the staff even though were run off their feet found time to chat and engage with all customers at breakfast.」

「Pros:: Lovely old pub, AC worked well, great location, plenty of parking, big room and bathroom. Bed was hard, but that is personal preference. Old building is beautiful but with it comes low beams, uneven steps, etc. Con's: Breakfast seemed a bit disjointed (only 1 staff member on) kept having to find staff (same with check out) - not a huge issue as pub not that big. Breakfast did not have all items listed on menu - but didnt twig till after (but have to say lots of pastries and...

「Everything about this hotel was perfect. Easy parking, beautiful grounds, lovely clean room with complimentary drinks, fridge, and tea & coffee making facilities. Bath and shower, comfortable beds; lovely, helpful staff. Tasty breakfast, everything you could want, and excellent evening meals. Dogs were allowed, but not in the main house. They didn't really bother us, just a few "yappy" ones. Definitely Five Stars」
