「The Snug was very comfortable and well equipped. It was also very clean. I could not work the shower but I did not contact the owner so I am sure it would have been sorted if I had. It was only three nights and there was a bath so I did not. It was well located, quite near to Matlock Bath. The bed was comfortable and it was well decorated throughout. 」

「When I booked for myself and grandson six ,I wasn't made aware that our "hotel room" was just a block of rooms at the bottom of a road near the entrance. These were unmanned and the key had to be collected from the main reception. This is no easy fete when there's a very steep long hill to walk up to reception. I was told our room was ready,we went down to it,expecting staff to meet us. None were there. So I and my little grandson had to walk back up to reception with a suitcase and rucksacks...

「The Property was modern and clean, and when we booked, we knew it was a country hotel. The grounds looked lovely and well maintained, but due to the weather, we didn't get to enjoy a walk around them. We arrived earlier than expected, at 1.30pm, and the reception staff were very good and allowed us to check in early. 「We welcomed the useful car park with my daughter’s pending wedding and ease of access to town. Room was clean but very hot although fan was provided but noisy overnight and didn’t rotate & only one window opened - Despite this and noisy guests in proximity - everything else was good. Breakfast and staff were helpful and especially at breakfast the staff member was pleasant and I noted took time to talk to guests and was very amenable. Thank you for a good stay prior to wedding. 😊」
