「We stayed two nights for a reunion of friends who graduated from university 50 years ago. The hotel is a traditional pub with four small but comfortable bedrooms and a terrific location with wonderful views across the Peak District. The second night was quiz night, so we fielded a team and came somewhere in the middle of the pack. Lathkil is ideally located for many of the classic places in the Peaks, and for walking the fells. 「A lovely clean room.....staff were very friendly and helpful...breakfast was fresh and good. Bar was busy with very friendly customers. We traveled down from Scarborough for football v Buxton...after the game the bar was very busy but the home supporters made us very welcom.」

「Nice clean bedroom, with a comfy bed. Stone floor, l think it would accommodate dogs, slippers were provided for guests use. We had a ground floor room, it was noisy as it was on a busy road. The bedroom was tired but fine for our two night stay. The staff were great and did everything to please its residents. Breakfast was super, a good choice and well cooked. Parking was great, a secure carpark for guests.」
