Great location, only 1.5mile walk into the local town with great amenities, pubs and restaurants etc. The cabins are basic but spotlessly clean, and actually contain everything you need. Only snag is the place is out of range for taxi/uber pickups. They are able to drop off if you’re coming from Edinburgh but best to rely on Eskbank station or a rental car if you need to get back."

The room had some issues: no privacy curtains, only blackout curtains; no drawers so couldn’t unpack; only overhead lighting-no lamps, although they brought one up so my husband could read before bed. I would have rated the hotel one star lower, but the staff were very helpful, especially David, the concierge, who went out of his way to greet us each morning."
