"It wasn’t to bad if it’s something of a quick stay but the rugs where dirty and it had a moldy smell "

"Wonderful location in DC. Easy access to the National Mall and museums. Beautiful neighborhood in GW neighborhood. The staff was top notch. We will be back."

"The place is poorly run. The AC is so loud you have to shut it off. The pool is not available most of the time to guests as the local swim school rents it out. The hot tub doesn’t work. Parking is expensive and an unadvertised expense. The staff is not competent and appear to be tired. I would never stay here again. "

"A great and complete hotel with everything you need, adjacent to a nice little neighborhood and a very convenient Metro Station."

"The hotel is beautiful and the restaurants as well. I was disappointed in the low number of staff. The people who were there were lovely, but there were not enough people working to help all of the people that needed help. It was disappointing that my bathroom ceiling was leaking, but they did fix it promptly. My in room refrigerator didn’t work and wasted all of the leftovers I brought back, and there’s no microwave, even if it had been edible. The roof restaurant bartender and manager were standouts of my experience. The biggest problem I had was a lack of staff assistance and or the complete lack of luggage carts that has resulted in serious back injury and needing to take time off of work once I returned home. I feel that in about a year hotel Nell will be an incredible experience if they continue to improve."

"Stayed here for a work trip. Room was cute and comfortable. There were two waters when I got there but they never brought new ones. Check in was super easy and I was very appreciate they were able to get me into my room early. However the bartender seemed kind of rude and the person at the desk was also not very friendly. They have a sign for mimosas but told me they were out at 11am Sunday. Rooftop bar was supposed to be open Sunday at 5 but supposedly the managers decided to close it. I’d stay here again but the hospitality downstairs could definitely use some improving. Could’ve been just the crew for the weekend because Friday check in and Monday check out were fine."
