「I liked this hotel very much. It had a lot of charm for being an older hotel. There were some good restaurants right in the neighborhood. The staff was very nice and helpful especially with recommendations and directions. I would really like to stay here again on my next trip to Portland!」

「We were shocked at the prices for hotels in Portland (in my opinion a way, overrated town) so we stayed here primarily because of price. But it's a nice gem worth considering. Room was comfortable. Breakfast nice. Host welcoming. And walking distance to the Freeport outlets and across from that now-famous McDonald's located in a historic house. Definitely eat at the Jameson Tavern (walking). One of the best burgers we've had, great fries too. (If you are tired of lobster and high prices).」

「The house is very beautiful and lovingly maintained. It is set on a peninsula with views of the water looking both ways. The owner/manger was wonderful. Breakfast was great and we sat and talked over breakfast with her and her husband for almost four hours one day. We have never done that before. Great people. Great place. By far the best stay we have ever had at a B and B.」
