They make you wear an ugly plastic wrist band, give you a hard time about leaving the property and if you cut off the ugly wrist band you’re charged $100. Also the food was terrible. I felt
Like I was in a high class prision at the rate of $500 a night.
Never Again.

Been here a few times. Seems like the change in owner has most employees on edge. Some were amazing like Fernando and Runelio(sp?), but others like Perla in the sian kaan lounge and a waiter in white box were snobby and needed an attitude change. Electricity and water would go out. White box food was horrible. Hopefully when growing pains are over it will be great again. On a good note...Location is amazing, snorkling right off the beach is nice!
Wonderful time! Right by the water. Though the area has much seaweed right now, Oasis Tulum does a great job daily cleaning it up. Fantastic food!Great service! Rose petals on the bed and champaign provided on our anniversary night. We highly recommend this resort. Our 11th trip to Mexico resorts!
The setting was gorgeous the room was very nice loved the tub and private cabana that was right on the beach. A bit disappointed with some of the dining options the food was tasty but the wait staff seemed a bit stretched at times. We waited quite a while for most of the entree’s we ordered. Other couples around us just left midway through the dinner so it wasn’t just us. We also did not meet our butler until the last day we stayed at the resort. The bar was excellent the beach was well maintained. In the future they should offer more times to snorkel in the afternoon. We would definitely stay there again.
EXCELENTE PARA PAREJAS QUE GUSTAN DE LA TRANQUILIDAD Y naturaleza

Property was not as advertised, they talk about haveing a butler to make your dinner reservations and other plans was there 6 days never even met the butler, advertise tennis available but whenever asked about it was told they didn’t know if had the equipment would let us know but never did after several inquiries. Also it is anything but gourmet dining 2 of the three restaurants on adults side of resort are good but the white box is awlful as in most places there food comes out warm or cold it’s advertised as gastropub but it’s a tapas place also worse service of any of the restaurants also hard to believe that the Mexican restaurant had pretty horrible food too but at least the people that worked there were really pleasant. Also air conditioning in rooms were not cold and when complained they st offer to send someone to look and give you explanation that controls are reversed where as putting warmer will make it cooler but only helped a little with room temperature
What made it a pleasant stay was how nice and helpfully almost all the service staff was from bartenders on beach to restaurant staffs also was nice to rent a smart car and all you have to do is pay the insurance
The oceanfront terrace rooms are AMAZING: lounging on a Bali bed 30 feet away from the gently lapping waves, and soak in a sunken jacuzzi in your room while looking out at those waves! Really dreamy. You do sacrifice a bit of privacy for that - people walking by on the beach right beyond your patio - but it's the adults-only section of beach and was very mellow. (DON'T go for an ocean-view no-terrace room -- great views but windows don't open so rooms smell of mold! And the rooms with jacuzzis on the terraces face the pool with the ocean much more distantly in the background, not the same experience at all.)
Staff was great, very kind and patient. Buffet food was decent enough, and there was always lots of fresh salad and fruit, and a wide variety of Mexican and American type hot food. The guacamole and ceviche were amazing! Their paella-style dish wasn't bad. They had good tamales several times. But there were standard things I love in Mexico which weren't available, like fresh coconuts, freshly-squeezed juices, and corn tortillas, and I got really tired of the food by week's end. The reservation-only restaurants were just so-so -- very fancy in presentation, but tiny portions and nothing that tasted as good as it looked. Alcohol was terrible except in the fancy bar if you insisted.
All in all, I absolutely loved this place for its setting and its proximity to many cenotes and to Tulum, and would return if I got the same discounted rate again ($175/nt on Orbitz)
I’m not sure why people would leave those bad reviews .. this place was very pleasant and staff and servers was very kind and helpful. Little things here and there that needed some attention but fixed when asked. Will definitely be returning to place thank you
Beach was beautiful,,. Everything ekes was absolutely terrible

1. The drive time from Airport to the hotel is 1 hour and 15 mins.
2. The Hotel is surrounded with many trees, beautiful palm trees, and flowers. The atmosphere is the one of the best if you like lush green trees very quiet, calm and tranquil this hotel is the one. I would rate the atmosphere 5 stars
3. Some of the rooms have no balcony, so there is a huge window but it does not open so you don't get to enjoy the ocean wind while in the room. 3.5 stars
4. Rooms are comparable to other hotels and nothing to rave about. 3.5 Stars
5. Food at the the restaurants sub par. The buffet had less variety compared to other hotels. The Restaurants you have to make reservations also was nothing to rave about. Actually I would rate the food 3 compared to other hotels.
6. Customer service nothing above and beyond compared to other hotels. 3.0 stars I have had 5 star service from other hotels.
7. There is snorkeling, kayaking, bike rental for free. Snorkeling and kayaking is free for 1 hour only. You need to leave your I.D with them.
8. Beautiful beach with soft sand. 5 stars

The seclusion location was good staff was great. The food was not good for the type of resorts it was the buffet and the hippi chic was great but the nicer looking restaurant were just Ok, I would pay to eat at them.
We tried to leave hours after arriving. I’ve never experienced such poor service or rooms in such condition. No hot water, broken safes in three rooms, the bell boy even made us carry our own luggage. Absolutely zero service at this all inclusive. One bartender told me to “get my own” drink. My boyfriend thought I just have misunderstood so he went to ask again. No, he told him the same thing. We asked to check out and for a refund multiple times, though expedia has really been managing this incredibly slowly and with no follow ups. They kept trying to get us to sign waivers so we could leave, which we would not do. Eventually we moved resorts but had lost half of our vacation to this mess. It is not a luxury hotel whatsoever. We moved to Secrets Capri - it cost half as much and was probably ten times better. Do not stay here. By the way, we confronted management continuously and they told us they had no power to manage the situation. They just offered pathetic “we don’t know what to do” explanations repeatedly.

Food was the worst selection and quality of many ive been to. No entertainment. Except for the ocean everything else was ho hum.
The hotel is gorgeous. However, it was low season and, as such, the hotel seemed to be on a skeleton crew. This wasn’t an issue for the most part, but the largest issue this caused is that the restaurants (at which you had to make a reservation) didn’t have enough waiters or cooks to get the meals out in a timely manner. This did cause my group some headaches and did “cloud” our trip. All in all, this is a beautiful place that I would recommend, but I would certainly want to see their bar and restaurant be staffed appropriately for the amount of guests and diners that are present in the hotel at any time.
If you are driving to the resort beware that some websites call the hotel the Grand Tulum (omitting the Oasis) so you may pass the hotel when you see the signs for the Grand Oasis Tulum. It is about a 75 minute drive from the airport on highway 307.
Location: The resort is right on the beach. Grounds are very well maintained and clean.
Atmosphere:They call this the Calm Resort and it is. No loud music playing everywhere, just some gentle background music at the pools and just ocean sounds at the beach. Most people who were there during our visit also seemed to appreciate the calm vibe and just enjoyed to quietness (not a party place).
Room: We had a ground floor ocean view room with patio. Fabulous room, literally 15 feet from the ocean. Could hear the ocean all the time.
Food: There is good food here, but it is inconsistent and difficult to know from one item to another which will be good and what wont. Sea Bass at one place will be great and salmon at another will be overcooked (they share the same kitchen). The burger at the White Box was consistently delicious but the fries were always soggy. Surprisingly the buffet became our favorite place toward the end due to them rotating the menu and we could supervise the cooking of somethings. Also meals were far quicker at the buffet.
Beach/pool: The beach was the highlight for us. They do a good job of cleaning up the sea grass that invades daily and are far ahead of the neighboring resorts in keeping the beach clean.
La playa del hotel es buena, la comida es mala en general, el personal es muy amable y el piso de las habitaciones es pegajoso y resbaloso. Recomendable Solo por su precio accesible.
