Edinburgh and Lothian Luxury Vacations

The lobby and restaurant area were beautiful and perfectly live up to the high standards Dakota hotels are known for. Unfortunately, the room didn't quite match that level of quality. While the bedding was crisp and incredibly clean, the mattress itself was unbelievably hard. Additionally, the toilet felt a bit budget-level and is due for an update. On the plus side, the housekeeping service was excellent. Overall, it was a good stay, but the room just didn't quite reach the signature Dakota luxury I was expecting.

The breakfast was the highlight of our stay! Absolutely fantastic! Choices, taste, and presentation were great. As for the property, the lobby is beautiful. The room was fine but the grout in the bathroom needs to be scrubbed. The room was carpeted so, safe to say, there were stains which made it look not so great. The bed and pillows were comfortable. However, one of our throw pillows had a hole and rip on the cover which was also kind of off putting. It was a bit weird having to pay extra for a robe and slippers but at least it wasn’t much. The staff were great and very helpful/accommodating at all hours. All in all, for the location and general aesthetic, we had a good stay.

Staff was exceptional from the moment we checked in to the last send off at check out. We could not have asked for better service, attention or care. Thank you for taking care of my family and making us so comfortable.
