Disney's Maingate East Kid friendly Vacations

We booked a king 1 bedroom suite for 4 nights starting October 23, 2026 for 4 nights. The next morning we noticed small cockroach nymphs on the floor near the entry and in the bathroom. We stopped at the front desk and let them know before heading out for the day hoping that it would be dealt with. We returned late to our room to find more of these bugs on the floor. I called the front desk to enquire what had been done when we were out all day, the clerk was not sure but she was slcwrtain that no bug spray or treatment was done at all because we were still in room and their mandate is to not spray with guests occupying a suite. The clerk went on to state that the hotel was fully booked at that she could not move us to another room until tomorrow. I explained that we would be leaving the hotel by 1pm. She did state she would refund me the resort fees for my stay for the inconvenience and bug issues. We were just leaving the hotel at 1:05pm when the hotel called and said a room was ready to move into. I told the clerk that we had to leave as we had reservations and would not be back till later as discussed on the previous call. The clerk offered to move our belongings for us but I explained that our stuff was not packed as we were not given confirmation that we would be moved for sure and that nobody had contacted us in the morning so we assumed we would not be moved. Well everything was terrible from the minute I checked in the front desk person was so rude and the room was so dirty I had to use my phone flashlight because the lights were not working at all it was filthy I went into the bathroom and mold was everywhere from the tub and the sink it smell just a gallon of bleach I checked in and 10 minutes later I was out the sheets look likes they have never been changed it was just horrible

We absolutely love this hotel! The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is really good—especially the make-your-own waffles! The location is perfect because everything is so close by, and having food trucks right next door is definitely a plus! This is one of our favorite hotels to stay at when we visit Orlando. We always enjoy our stay and highly recommend it!
