If I could give this place zero stars I would. First, it was very hard to find the location because there is construction outside. When I finally found the place, there was one person at the desk who was extremely rude and condescending. She made fun of the way I spoke (mimicked me). I was in shock. I had already prepaid for the hotel so I didn't know what to do. I figured I would let it go since it's one night. I asked about parking - she said can't give me parking until I checked in. So I checked in and then after I paid for parking - she said she didn't have anymore key cards to the parking garage. She told me that every time I would need to go in or out of the garage I would need to come into the hotel and tell them and they would meet me at the garage (!) I asked politely how does this work if there's only one person at the desk. and where do I park to call you to help me with the garage (since there's no parking - only construction - outside the hotel). That set her off in an angry tirade. I was afraid for my safety at this hotel with this person in charge. I called my friend that I was meeting - she came over a few minutes later and I told her what happened. We checked the room - which had an intense chemical odor - can't breath. She refused to let me talk to a manager and refused to refund. It was such a twilight zone experience. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRID PLACE.

Upon arriving on Wednesday evening, I waited approximately three hours to check in and was not able to access my room until around 8:00 PM. After an already exhausting day preparing for surgery, this was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. When I finally entered my room, I immediately noticed it smelled strongly of smoke. Even more concerning, there were used contact lenses on the floor, making it obvious that the room had not been properly cleaned or inspected before being assigned to a guest. This was especially alarming considering I was about to recover from surgery in what should have been a sanitary environment. Because of the condition of the room, I had to be moved to another room. Unfortunately, that room was located near the pool area where there was extremely loud music for much of my stay. I specifically booked this hotel to recover from surgery, yet I spent my recovery listening to high-volume music while trying to rest. I called the front desk multiple times regarding the noise, but the issue was never adequately resolved.

Lovely

Had a fantastic stay at Kimpton La Peer! The hotel is stylish, impeccably clean, and perfectly located in the heart of West Hollywood. The staff was warm and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Beautiful rooms, great atmosphere, and an overall wonderful experience. Would definitely stay here again!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating and parking was affordable. I wouldn’t stay again though. The bed was right next to the AC and it was very cold to sleep by, but we had to have it blasting because when we arrived all of the windows were open and it was hot. The nearby rooms were very loud with doors slamming all night. New carpet is definitely needed as well- I wouldn’t walk barefoot.
