"While this stay lacks in the polished stays of a fancy resort it makes up ten-fold in charm and personality. This was the coziest most wonderful stay we've had on our trip yet and we'll definitely be back. "The property is a little run down but clean. The staff was rude when we were trying to check in. My husband and kids were behind me checking in and were told they couldn’t be there and shooed them away and then when my family moved down the hallway to wait me for me they came and asked them to move again. But no recommendation of where we would wait."

"One of the most beautiful hotels that we stayed at right over the train station. The Onsen was one of the most amazing things. It’s on the roof of the hotel on the 14th floor and you overlook the city and on a clear day. You can see mount Fuji while you’re sitting in the water."

"La Vista Atami is an absolutely stunning hotel where no detail has been overlooked. The property is beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean and offers a peaceful atmosphere throughout. The public indoor and outdoor baths are spectacular and the private baths and spa facilities provide the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. The hotel is ideally located directly opposite Sun Beach, offering beautiful views and easy access to the waterfront. Despite being situated on a hill, the hotel is very accessible thanks to its convenient slope lift, which provides easy access to the beach, local restaurants and nearby shops. The buffet breakfast and dinner were exceptional, offering a wonderful selection of both Japanese and Western dishes to suit all tastes. Overall, La Vista Atami exceeded our expectations and provided a luxurious and memorable stay. We would not hesitate to return."
