"If we had known about this hotel earlier, we would have made it our main base in Kyoto. The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to both bus and train lines, and plenty of dining options in the surrounding area. The hotel itself is excellent and clearly very popular. The onsen is superb—spanning multiple floors—and the property offers a number of thoughtful extras, including complimentary ramen from 9 to 11 p.m., which was a fun and welcome touch. Overall, we were truly glad to have stayed here. It’s a fantastic, well-located hotel that makes exploring Kyoto effortless."

"My partner and I visited Japan recently and this was our favorite hotel stay. The property is about a 7 minute walk from the train station, and a 15ish minute walk to the main shopping areas. It is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and locally owned shops as well. While they charge an extra fee for early check in, we were able to leave our luggage in the lobby and explore the town until the check in time began. Staff is friendly and easy to communicate with. The room is gorgeous and while a little on the smaller side, it was extremely cozy, clean and quiet. Would 100% stay here again and take advantage of the on-site restaurant."
