New Place

New Place

10/10 Excellent
"The architecture of the main house is truly superb, although having been designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens I would have expected no less. The house for the main part has retained most of its original rooms, where can be found lots of the original wood panelling, other architectural features and an envious oil painting collection. It should be noted that guest rooms are actually in a dedicated block, build next to the main house where the walled garden and kitchen garden originally stood. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The house grounds are quite large, and clearly too much for the ground staff, but they are still lovely and well worth a stroll during your stay. Food was excellent and all staff were pleasant."
