"We really enjoyed our night here. The owners and their staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend."

"Very good hotel in perfect location for food and drinks."

"Great location for the dockyard and gun wharf and steps from a great pub. Staff were polite and professional and the room was great. Very clean and had all we needed in it. Would stay again."

"Very nice, clean room with very helpful staff. Choice of pillows and a very comfortable, clean bed. The room was very warm, no Aircon but a fan was provided. The reception and breakfast room are in a different building, on a different road which was fine as the weather was dry. Buffet breakfast was great with good choice. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner which was also excellent. Staff were all extremely good. Would stay here again."

"Lovely room very quiet and clean. "

"Heather is lovely. The room and bathroom was perfect... all I needed. The bed was very comfortable, and had a good night's sleep. The ferry is a good 15 to 20 minute walk away, so Portsmouth is only another five minutes on the ferry."

"Nice room breakfast in the creek was good"

"Nice place to stay, lovely beach view and close to amenities"

"Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, lovely, friendly staff. Bus stop just outside so good transport links. Good value for money."

"A beautiful old maritime themed hotel which was easy walking distance to"

"Helpful staff, good breakfast, great shopping"

"Nice clean room. Allowed me to check in early (because room was available). Close to seafront and nice neighbourhood."

"We liked every thing. Location was great!"

"Super helpful and friendly front desk."

"Room on the small side but clean and comfortable breakfast very good close to guildhall and train station"

"Perfect location and the room was good for the price paid - basic but clean and a fan was provided which was appreciated."

"The room was decent, the bar was good and so was the breakfast … however the latte machine was broken. We dined there one evening and my husband commented that the duck was very good. The wifi was good. Good location to the train station, pubs and the Navy Museum, HMS Victory and HMS Warrior."

"Excellent location right in the city centre. I traveled solo for business and a bit of sight-seeing. Close to shopping/restaurants (Gunwharf Quay) and historical attractions. You get what you pay for - it's in an old building with poor ventilation. A few 'old building' smells and humidity lingers in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, all linens and towels clean and fresh. All staff were extremely pleasant easy to interact with. Nice breakfast at Keppel's Head was included."

"Great stay"

"Beautiful period hotel, lucky enough to get an upgrade to a sea view."
