It was a very nice room but no ac. Window opened, but did not have screen. Breakfast very good and made to order with some items available for self serve. Downside to access was a 3 step stairway up to access hotel with luggage; a couple steps down inside to get to ground floor room, and had to walk down stairway to basement for breakfast. Lovely park and ice cream shop, lake with small boats and ocean closeby. Town and restaurants within 10 min walk. Helpful staff.

This is the best valued hotel I've stayed so far - literally amazing! The reception and staff at the breakfast bar were so nice. Amazing breakfast as well with great selection. The room is clean and spacious. Would definitely come and stay again next time.

Good location near the promenade. A few reasonable places to eat out locally. About a 35 min walk to the Hover port to the IoW - about a 12 min trip. The Spinnaker is about 5k away. Breakfast good and efficiently served. Everywhere clean but decor could problem do with some freshening in the next year or so. Would stay again.

Stayed here at the start of the month, had an issue with jacuzzi so could not use for part of our stay, had only booked here for the jacuzzi. They promised a partial refund (have all the evidence) but are now refusing to do this or respond to communication. Also, difficult to get hold of someone during our stay despite them saying someone will be at the desk between set times

Great welcome and the room was clean and had everything we needed. Decor a bit dated. Breakfast food was what let it down. My food was fine, but had no Earl Grey, only instant coffee. Not really a big issue but easy fix! However then 3 teas made with cold water. Solution to put in microwave. Even the one milk had been added. Glutton intolerance was discussed, even went to check sausage and hash brown. And then bread and hash brown on plate. Only saying because these are easy fixes and would make stay even better. Really everything else was fine and would recommend and stay again.

Booked to stay one night via Expedia then extended our stay by phone for the previous night about 3 weeks before our visit. All went very easily and the staff extended the booking very efficiently. The hotel is easy to find and very close to the sea front. Parking was either on the hotel frontage on in the street with a permit supplied by the hotel. Again, easy and the area felt very safe. The staff were all polite, kind and efficient throughout our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a comfy bed. Breakfast is very good, freshly cooked and a great selection. Only disappointment was the coffee that was stewed and cold both mornings. Otherwise, all good. A few other small negatives. The bin men arrived very early on Saturday morning and were really noisy outside our window. There was the odd cobweb if you looked closely in ceiling corners (only small ones, easy to miss) and some of the furniture was a bit tired. All that said we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again when back in the area.

Best service in Southsea. Great rooms, super warm. Fantastic breakfast. Incredibly helpful attentive receptionist Shalom. First class hotel. Second time here and I'll definitely return.
