「This hotel is a little gem and provided us with a perfect stop over on our way to Dorset for a holiday.
We arrived around 7.30pm and the check in process was friendly and efficient. Our room (number 58) was spacious, beautifully decorated and had a lovely balcony plus an extra window, as we were on the corner of the building. The bed was very comfortable.
Although there is an option to eat at the hotel, we chose to explore a little and ate at The Wookey Hole Inn, just a few minutes walk away....

「Good location in centre of Sherborne. Very reasonably priced room and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pub has a car park and is also just 5/10 minutes walk from station. The delightful Sherborne abbey is just a very short walk from the inn and there are numerous restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable although there was occasional noise from the bar downstairs or outside tables. The Abbey is close by and the clock chimes might bother some. 「The hotel is perfectly located for both the Theatre Royal and Ustinov Theatre as you can walk to either in about thirty seconds! There are also numerous bars, coffee shops and restaurants in the immediate area.
Despite being centrally located, I didn't hear any noise from outside at all.
My room was quite compact but very comfortable, the shower was great as was the bed.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
