El estacionamiento está muy incómodo para ingresar. Además cuando entramos no había lugar y tuvimos que dejarlo en los estacionamientos públicos. El desayuno estuvo bien. Te dan un menú y hay algunas pocas cosas para agarrar estilo Buffet. Pero si buscas el English Breakfast vas a salir contento. La habitación amplia. Baño con bañera. Tener en cuenta que hay que subir por escaleras y pasar por el bar que está abajo del hotel.

The property is in the middle of town so very convenient for a look around the following day. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us in the room (69 year olds). The beds were comfy and clean as was the bathroom. The decor was a little sad in the rooms but the comfort and price more than met expectations. My biggest concern was that we were put in the 2nd floor, with no lift and I have big mobility problems and struggled to get up and down the stairs. When asked if there was a similar room on the bottom floor I was told it was for two adults and a child only. I feel this is discriminating against disabled people (pensioners) who may not want a single room. And the risks of vacating the hotel in case of a fire would be a huge problem. To finish on a high note, the breakfast was very good, and we went back for a drink at lunch time and the food looked amazing but we were too full to eat after the size of the breakfast.

Lovely comfortable room... We enjoyed a gorgeous breakfast. Staff were very pleasant and most helpful. A very nice atmosphere! Great evening meal!! Parking our car was nice and secure. Thank you again for an enjoyable stay.

Fantastic value on a true English inn (reception at end of the bar) in the centre of a quaint market town. very spacious and clean bed and bath rooms, generous made to order breakfasts included, exceedingly nice and responsive staff. The George could justify twice the price the bathroom walls were fixed and the practice of storing linen bags in the hallways was rethought. Given the low rate, not the worst problems.

Everything you expect from an old building was there. quirky and a bit flaky in places but loved staying there. breakfast was banging, parking was easy even for a large car. we will be back again soon.

Great parking in a secure area with strong garage gate. Staff were lovely and so attentive and helpful. We could have eaten in the hotel but decided to go for a walk. Breakfast was quick and extensive, quality was excellent.

Parking was secure although access was tight. One member of staff had a lukewarm attitude, others were lovely. Our room hadn't been decorated for a very long time and the bathroom was tiny.

Delightful stay at the George. A real olde worlde hotel with lots of character. Staff really welcoming. Rooms extremely clean and comfortable. Decoration a bit old but in line with the type of hotel, so no issues. Lovely breakfast and really enjoyed the evening meal. No hesitation in recommending.

Great place to stay for a gig at the Cheese and Grain. Central location. Staff really friendly and helpful. Evening dinner menu was varied and bar had a nice atmosphere. Good breakfast and overall good value. Room had lots of character. Bathroom could do with an upgrade but was functional for a short stay.

The Barman, Chris I think! He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. He was there last thing at night and 1st thing in the morning! Always smiling and nothing too much trouble! What a pleasure to me you! Everything was of the highest standard and the breakfast was excellent!

This hotel is best suited for people traveling with dogs. Unfortunately, the smell of dogs was noticeable throughout the carpets in both the rooms and hallways. While the rooms were clean, they felt tired and still had a strong dog odor. There are no dog-free rooms available, so if you have allergies, I wouldn’t recommend booking here. You can also feel dog hair in the carpets as you walk around the hotel, which may be uncomfortable for some guests. On the positive side, the staff was amazing—friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which made the stay more pleasant. Parking is convenient, but as a solo female traveler, I felt uncomfortable walking to the car park at night, as it’s located at the back in a quiet, deserted area. Overall, a great option for dog owners, but not ideal for guests with allergies or those sensitive to pet odors.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious (27) and clean. There was a bit of black mould on the bathroom ceiling and flaking paint on the ceiling of the bedroom but apart from that everything was good. The bed was very comfortable and the toiletries are a nice touch. It was a little noisy as it's on the main road but I blocked that out with earplugs and had one of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time! Breakfast was good with lots to choose from. I would stay there again.
