Top notch stay all around. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, and location was central to everything. One piece of advice: we made the mistake of booking spa treatments with Thermae instead of the Gainsborough - we should definitely have booked with the hotel. Their facilities were far superior to Thermae's! Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay at The Gainsborough. You honestly couldn't ask for a better location. It's just a block from the square and an easy 10 min walk from Bath Spa train station, so getting around the city was effortless. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were friendly and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. The one small downside of being so central was some noise, though that was probably due to where my room was located. If you're a light sleeper, it may be worth requesting a quieter room. The spa was the highlight. It was absolutely wonderful and a perfect way to unwind after exploring Bath. Overall, a lovely stay, and I'd happily come back.

Fantastic hotel near the city center. Quieter area than the busy city centers. Across from the Thermae Spa, but has its own very nice facilities. One block from a Cafe Nero and Tesco Express. Short 5-10min walk from the train station through and open air shopping area.

Probably the best place to stay in Bath. A central location and a full-service hotel with a staff that strives to make your stay memorable. I’m not a spa person BUT…guests can use the spa in the morning and evening so that’s a tremendous perk !
