The dated rooms will need a facelift to take them to the top tier, but the people were fantastic, and the location puts you right in the middle of the best parts of Mission and Pacific Beach. "We had a wonderful stay. Carolyn was an amazing host. The location is great. All restaurants and Belmont park are walkable. We cook a lot so we appreciated the well stocked kitchen. We had grandparents with us so the stairs were a bit rough for them but everyone was happy with the accommodations. The outdoor area is perfect to sit and eat around the fire pit. We come every year for Christmas and this house was perfect. "

While it is noted in the listing, we didn’t fully realize how close the shared spaces would feel when another unit is occupied. There is limited privacy when using the outdoor areas, and some normal noise from the unit above can be heard. This didn’t cause any issues during our stay, but it’s something future guests may want to keep in mind.Overall, a great experience, and we would happily return—especially with friends or family renting the other unit."
