"The room was clean. AC was ok. Parking was easy and close. The room we had was downstiars and the guests above us sounded like they were stomping the whole time. Microwave available outside near the pool- that really should be inside somewhere. "

"I was expecting a high end hotel for what I get, small room Bad views, not privacy because i could hear my neighbors room and conversation For the room price I think it was one of my worst experiences in this hotel Couldn’t sleep. Shower too small with no door and water gets out To the mini tiny sink area No water the last stay and they didn’t even apologize for that "

"There is literally not a better location than La Jolla Cove suites. We had an ocean view room with a balcony and the room was very spacious and clean. It was not outdated as some other reviews stated. We could see hundreds of sea lions from our balcony and its literally a 1 min walk to be on the beach area where they all congregate. The hotel is under major renovation but the noise really did not bother us. There are literally weddings every night on the rooftop area but the noise ends at 10 pm. The only negative was that there are very little amenities.The pool area is nice but there is no food or beverage served there. There is a great breakfast/lunch place in the hotel but if you want any alcohol served to you, you have to leave the hotel. No bar at all. There is valet parking and it is well worth the $45 a day bc you will never find a parking space near the hotel bc it is the most popular place in the cove. If you dont mind a bustling part of town this is the place for you. The sunsets are amazing here. "

"Location, location is great!! A few blocks from seal cove and great view of the ocean from our balcony. Basically within walking distance to everything in LaJolla. We used Valet parking which worked perfectly for us. The Birds Eye View rooftop bar was a nice spot to enjoy delicious cocktails or to grab a bite to eat. There was a glitch with the air conditioning on the 2nd floor for several nights. However, management made it right once made aware of the issue. Had no issue with noise from the rooftop bar as mentioned in previous comments. Enjoyed the espresso machine in the room and coffee on the 2nd floor hallway daily. Beds were comfortable and room cleaned daily. There is a little convenience store attached to the hotel which is open 24/7. Nice to pick-up drinks or snacks as needed. Staff were very professional, helpful and pleasant. I would recommend for those who enjoy smaller, quaint more personal hotels. Please note: there is no elevator. Staff offered their help and assistance as needed. Would stay again when we return to LaJolla. "
