Contemporary Ocean Front beauty. Managed by seasoned 5 star property host. Ground floor condo elevated above the Mission Beach boardwalk. Step right out onto your patio lounge above the boardwalk. Sleeps up to 9 comfortably in two large bedrooms and living room (or up to 10 with kids). Includes 5 beds and a sleeper sofa. Each bedroom has its own private full bathroom. The condo was just filled with new furnishings. Easily accessible by family of all ages. Main entrance with no stairs. Beach entrance with just a couple stairs. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances. Short walking distance to all the action yet well buffered from it. Two to three minute stroll along the boardwalk to Belmont park and all the eateries/restaurants, but private, quiet, peaceful and luminescent.

Great mission beach location

Great stay in San Diego on Mission Beach. Fun to just sit out on the deck and stare out at the ocean and people watch. Close to Belmont Park and restaurants.

Amazing property

Can’t beat the location and communication from the owner. Has been an amazing experience from the beginning Smaller but cozy and lots of sleeping choices for kids/teens/families/friendsOh and the parking spot is a great bonus!

Outstanding place with awesome beach view

We were thrilled to stay at this place as the ocean was right at our door step. Host was wonderful and the place was cleaned and well equipped. The mission Beach boardwalk has a fun spirit. we will be back! thank you for the lovely stay.

The view!

We needed to escape the Colorado weather and we picked the perfect place!! Sitting on the patio watching the waves was very peaceful. This place was exactly as described. Eric was great. Definitely will stay here again.

Perfect Location

This place was perfect for us! We were close to lots of restaurants and Sea World. Just a short drive to the zoo. We wanted a location right on the beach and this place didn't disappoint. We loved the front deck with the fire pit. Rick the property manager was super responsive and helpful. We had a later flight and he was very accommodating! We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location ✨

Perfect location to the beach and within 5 min driving distance to yummy restaurants and shopping! Loved walking to ‘Better Buzzed’ each morning for coffee and back along the boardwalk! Owner was easy to get a hold of and very responsive! Had so much fun with my kiddos here!

Great place, clean and close to Coaster & Plunge pool

Booked for 2 days and could have stayed for a week. Unit is clean, right on the boardwalk and close enough to Coaster & the Plunge pool to walk there in minutes. Most difficult part of our stay was opening the lockbox. Highly recommended.

EXACTLY as advertised beach retreat

This place is perfect for a couple days at the beach. It was 100% as described in the listing. It wasn’t anything fancy, but was comfortable and pleasant. Totally clean and right on the sand at mission beach. Communication with our host, Rick, was clear and easy. We enjoyed our few days there!

Family chill time

Eric was quite responsive the whole time we were there. We came to simply relax as a family. The kitchen was equipped well…I cooked for 7 people all weekend. The place is clean, mostly kept up, and exactly as advertised. The location cannot be beat. We will come back. Thank you!!

Best Beach Boardwalk Stay

I’ve always wanted to rent a place right on the boardwalk. This place was a great choice. Just a little walk to shops, Zozo pizza and amusement park. I spent most of the time walking the beach, watching the ocean and sitting on the patio with a fire, watching the water. The 2 bedrooms are very nice, very clean and come with separate bathrooms. Sofas in living room are large and very comfortable ( great view of water too) and kitchen has everything you need. The owner is lovely and very accommodating. Rental information was clear and I found the home easily. My Dalmatian loved staying here, it being his first trip to beach. Highly recommend this property. Please don’t rent in July since I want it.

Healed my soul

We had come back to my home town for the memorial services for my sister and my mother, who had both passed away this summer. It had been 20 years since my wife and I had stayed at Mission Beach, and the stay here was magical. Only complaint: it was too short.

Worth it

Staying here is wonderful - right on the ocean with the sand across the boardwalk. The owner is very quick to respond to any questions or problems. We just had one bathroom sink drain slowly but someone came out right away to fix that. The property is comfortable and has everything you need. It is an older building that suffers from being close to the ocean but inside has been upgraded. I wish the security door wasnt broken but the main door locks fine.

Used only for a 'Celebration of Life'

We did not spend the night there. We live local and wanted a beach-front property where family could gather for a lost family member, and this was one of the very few beach-front properties on VRBO in the area that would allow this. We had about 25 people there from 2pm-6pm, and everyone had no trouble parking at the Plunge - it was easy walking distance from there. We brought fold-up chairs to place inside thinking we would need them, and we did not. The place has a LOT of chairs in the living room and kitchen, and there were some additional stools in the upstairs hallway closet. We were very happy with this place and might go back just for ourselves.

Above and beyond!

Made last minute plans to go to the beach with my family and found this property at a very reasonable rate. The check in process was exactly as communicated via email. The unit was clean and ready for my family and I to enjoy a couple days on the beach. Our only hiccup was the outside grill was not working. I sent Eric a text to let him know. Eric contacted me within 10 minutes to rectify the issue. He had a new grill delivered and set up by the time we were ready to grill our dinner. Eric has been an amazing host and we will 100% be doing business with him in the near future. In the words of my 5 year old granddaughter “Yaya, I just love this place so much! Can we come back?” Eric, thank you for being kind and supportive to my family and I!

Ideal Location

Ideal ocean front location but cleanliness quite lacking. Also, needs updating living room and patio furnishings. And perhaps a major indoor wall paint job given how much beating they’ve taken, like old gum stuck on master bedroom wall, really? There was no lightning to outside patio for our evening BBQs. The closest used as storage for older useless furnishings was a sore eye. Bedding and towels were clean and some newer. So overall this place earns this 3 star rating for me. Not sure I’d book again unless when traveling again l see that it’s been updated and housekeeping has been addressed.

The location was amazing! The unit was very comfortable for 7. The couple suggestions that would of made it 5 star for me are just updating some of the supplies/amenties in the unit, dishes, towels, pillows, screen door etc. We rented the unit for the location and wanting to be able to do all our meals there. Which we did! My daughter attends SDSU and was ready for home cooked meals. The unit was clean except the windows, once I cleaned them we enjoyed the view even more. You literally feel like you are on the beach. The host was great with communication and check in was smooth. Was great to have a parking spot but dont upgrade, the spot is very tight we took our SUV back for a smaller one. I would rent again!

Fantastic View & Location

The location and view were fantastic. Rick the Host was very responsive for questions pre-trip and when we were there in the condo. The condo was big enough for our family of 8 and the beds were all very comfortable. There was a great refrigerator that was big and kept everything very cold. Having a big patio with a nice BBQ and a table with a fire in the center was wonderful. There was an air conditioning unit in the upstairs bedroom and a fan for the lower room. The furnishings were not new but comfortable for our family with plenty of seating for eating and when we played games. Rick provided a couple of boogie boards and chairs. There was plenty of storage space for our luggage and places to put our belongings. It was just steps from the beach and walk to the Boardwalk where there were restaurants, shops, and ice cream. There was also a Vons grocery store minutes by car. The beach in front is reserved for surfers from noon to 6 pm and the swimming and boogie boarders just had to move down the beach beyond a checkered flag. There were plenty of lifeguards present and we saw SD PD patrolling the sand at night. The walkway in front of the condo is very busy with bikes and walkers, nice to people watch. This is a place if you love the sun, waves, and family. Many SD activities are close. We will come again.
