Coast Bastion Hotel

Coast Bastion Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Our room was spacious and nicely renovated. The view was absolutely amazing… we had a panoramic view of Nanaimo’s harbour. The hotel’s restaurant Minnoz was really good. We had two dinners and a breakfast there. Food and service was great. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location."

Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oyster Bay

10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at the micro while in town for a wedding. everything was great and the staff were very helpful with anything we needed. it was nice to have breakfast included which was very good, our favorite were the sausages! there are outdoor areas for the guests to use that were awesome! a covered area with a bbq and a seating area with a propane fire pit to sit around in the evenings. there was another area with picnic tables and strings of lights around the area, i have never stayed at a hotel that offers all of these things. there is also a pool that we didn't have a chance to use but it is just as wonderful as the rest of the hotel. i recommend the micro to anyone staying on the island, the staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcomed and at home for your stay! Thank you for making our stay such a good experience!"

THE Beach Club Resort

10/10 Excellent
"The location is the best part of this hotel because it is on the beach. The lobby is nice and the room was fine. I would say the biggest negative is that the bathroom is rather small. We also tried to use the pool area but there were so many children splashing and shrieking that it was a miserable experience"

"We only were able to stay for 1 night, but would have loved to stay longer. Incredibly scenic with many activities to choose from. The room was fantastic and comfortable, and any issue we encountered was dealt with very quickly. Communication with the host was excellent, though there were some very minor discrepensies in instructions from the emails to what we saw in the messages written in the room. I feel that anyone respecting the space would not be confused or at a loss for the appropriate and expected behaviors. We had a wonderful stay"
