A very special traditional Japanese experience in lovely Gion. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful - more incredible than can be captured in the photos! Highly recommend booking the traditional dinner and breakfast. Definitely for more adventurous eaters, but an incredible experience that truly ...
Great location. Cute room. Friendly staff went above and beyond even coming in early to check us out and call a taxi for us.
The onsen and brands of shampoo, body wash are if high quality. The breakfast was really good and the location is wonderful as we were within walking distance to Gion, Nishiki Market as well as main shopping district.
It’s a fair Ryokan style with many Onsen baths you can try. Nice food and serve iced!
Beautiful hotel/ryokan for a reasonable price. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Kyoto
Fantastic staff. Well situated propoerty just far enough out of the "tourist zone" that it is quiet at night but still close to evereything (such as nearby restaurants and shopping). Beautifully appointed. A real traditional feel.
Great location for this authentic Japanese ryokan. Staff were friendly and one was American so spoke fluent English. Walking distance to several temples and shrines as well as many restaurants. Great spot for couples or families with teenage children.
Amazing service, very personal and thoughtful. Lovely tour of room, where everything was, then dressed in the provided yakata. Wonderful experience, everything I dreampt of.
Staff were extremely helpful. The room was very comfortable, with great amenities provided, like a variety of teas and sweets replaced daily. We would highly recommend requesting the traditional breakfast at least once while you stay there. Location is around a 5-10 minute walk to a subway, and even ...
We are a couple traveling to Kyoto for a weekend, and we were very much impressed by the hotel. It is like a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn, with wooden and sliding "paper" walls), but more luxurious. They offer Japanese breakfast, if you are so inclined. The hotel is very ideally located (very ...
This Ryokan gave me an amazing experience in Tokyo. Not only was it located extremely well (less than a minute walk to Nishiki Market) the owners were very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend paying for the breakfast- it was a highlight of the trip.
Nice ryokan and very peaceful surounding. But no shop around that area, a bit inconvience.
Clean and spacious rooms. Comfortable bed and awesome view of Lake Biwa
