「It was a nice stay with a bedroom separated from the kitchen by a large barn door. The driveway was narrow but typical for the area and we could park right in front of the apartment. It had a full-sized refridgerator but no ice tray and no microwave. Except for the occasional barking dog it was quiet and the coqui frogs sang us to sleep.」

「Clean, charming, and full of little touches that made it feel like home. The locals’ beach out front said it all — this is the real Kona. Great base for exploring, easy in and out, and surprisingly easy on the wallet for Hawaii. Highly recommend.」

「Amazing sunsets, beautiful secure gated property, close to Kona airport, Costco and Kailua, yet quiet and away from tourists. Door handle is tricky, so just pull handle up instead of pushing handle down after entering code. Higher elevation, so cools off at night making sleeping very comfortable. Sometimes you hear kids thumping around upstairs. Coqui frogs and murmuring ducks provide lovely nighttime orchestra. Bed is comfortable. Host very responsive to needs and may sell you tasty farm fresh...
