We enjoyed the peace and quiet and proximity to family living in the area. The national park is about an hour away. Downtown Hilo, with many shops and restaurants is about a 10 minute drive. We explored several trails and beaches within a half hour drive from our location. We would enjoy staying here again!」

There's everything you might need, from refrigerator and cooktop through shower with hot water. Kim is a very attentive and hospitable host. We had no problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend this place to everybody who is looking for some solitude or juat trying to discover less touristy north and north east part of Big Island.」

「The ground-floor cottage is part of a four-unit complex. There are three complexes and they are adjacent to a 9-story condominium building. The sandy beach is right in front of the cottage and if you are lucky, you may see green turtles resting in the morning by the shore. The unit is very well furnished (beach towels, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, surf boards, kitchen). There is no a/c but there are plenty of fans so we felt comfortable. This part of the island has a lot of Food...

「This is a charming, rustic "treehouse" nestled in the rain forest. The host was amazingly communicative and helpful. You can tell that the family actually spends time here as the kitchen has everything you meed to cook a real meal. We visited in December, and you do need to get that fire going and turn on the heaters ASAP. The bedroom area looked a little cramped in the photos, but it actually felt fine in person. 」
