It has old dingy carpet upstairs, old cheap dinnerware, cookware, glassware, etc. Everything is cheap, old and outdated (except the downstairs patio table/chairs, that looks new) Musty smell was horrible -- I went out and bought candles to help mask the smell. Also, this is the first beach house we've ever rented that didn't have any beach gear—no chairs, umbrella, towels. Nothing- so come prepared. "Nice location and very clean and quiet property. We would stay there again, which is high praise because we are fussy old people! If you're looking for a beach vacation this is the wrong property, as it is not walkable to the beach. It is however only a couple of blocks from the main downtown area which has all the restaurants, bars and entertainment. "

"Nice view of ocean from small balcony on the third level. Breakfast was well-prepared with a good variety over our two mornings. Nice touch with 24-hour hot beverage machine with lots of coffe, etc. choices. Beach out front is wide and flat, perfect for all beach-goers. Staff was very nice and property was very clean and maintained. Well done! This was our first time to Amelia Island. We plan to return and would certainly stay again at the Amelia Seaside Inn!"

"The rooms are okay. A bit tired. Our room carried an odor that said pets have stayed there before... That being said the staff was very helpful and the location is wonderful. Fort clinch state Park (directly across the street) is beautiful and we spent two full days there (2A &4kids). There is a great playground not far from the hotel and great eating places. We loved Tastys (burgers) and Arte pizza!! "

"Excellent staff. Attentive to detail. Hotel is not a Ritz Carlton. Missing all out service and a facilities you pay for. Lobby bar closed until 3pm, gourmet restaurant closed Sunday and monday. No service outside areas. Not a Ritz when you have to buy a bottle of wine and plastic cups to enjoy overlooking the ocean."

"Location was great just 1 block from the beach, easy walk. It was cold when we went so the pool wasn't used. The beds were comfy BUT there was dog hair all over the couch. We had to ask for a blanket to cover it so we could sit down surprisingly they never offered to clean or change our room. Other than that it was nice."
