Overall great experience. Beautiful location and friendly staff. Room was ok but no channels on the TV which is what you need when you've had a day out. Breakfast lovely would stay again

Liked: Cleanliness
The Potter suite that I was staying in had the most beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. My comfortable room was being cleaned every day. I can also recommend the bathtub in which I took very relaxing baths. The staff is friendly and accommodated to all of our needs and were overall just very helpful. Taking morning walks to the lake is also something that I enjoyed doing a lot. The hotel truly has a magical garden. I will definitely come back to the Derwentwater Hotel when I visit the Lake District again.
Lovely spacious hotel in beautiful grounds and good size car park. Great for visiting Keswick just a short stroll away. They hotel is huge. Breakfast was good. There is signs of age in the decor but quite adequate for an over night stay. A bit of a re fresh wouldn't go a miss but was a friendly welcoming nights stay.

Lovely scenery but tired hotel
Lovely hotel, very dated and needs a refurb but for hiking trip was value for money.
Beer garden was stunning and lots of grounds to walk over.
Excellent location and very peaceful. All the staff were very professional and pleasant. The room was spacious with a good sized ensuite bathroom. Having read previous reviews about the hotel we were not surprised or disappointed by the rather dated decor and bathroom. And given the good value of our stay compared to other similar venues, this was clearly factored in.
Great location, very friendly staff and dog friendly. The hotel was clean & adequate for a walking weekend.

Great for overnight stay with dogs
Great for overnight stay with dog. All staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is dated and rooms could be cleaner however bed was comfortable and bar and dining area clean with great breakfast choice. Large enclosed gardens and 15 minute walk into Keswick from back of the hotel (off road country walk)
