「We had a fantastic time at the Royal Oak. All of the staff were really nice and looked after us. We stayed in Room 15 which is on the top floor and is nice and cozy, very clean and had aircon. The complimentry tea, coffe and water was good quality along with the bathroom products which were also available at the shop in the main square. Breakfast was 10/10 in terms oif quality (locally sourced) and choice. 」

「Nice sized room. Matt was such a friendly host. Made my wife and I a great breakfast. Very convenient location to the Keswick market. Only a 5 minute walk. 20 minute drive to Grasmere village. We would definitely stay here again. 」

「It was small but had everything I needed. An instruction book for the combi oven/microwave would have been handy, and a rail to hang my clothes on. Very good shower. I did have problems locking the door from both the inside and outside. Great views, even though it was on the A66 it was very quiet.」
