「Lovely stay! Staff extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Property was clean. Lovely breakfast for ‘continental’. We had a loft room which was extremely warm during the heatwave. Luckily we didn’t bring the dogs as it would have been too warm for them despite providing a fan. This was the only down fall, luckily we didn’t go in the peak heat and it wouldn’t put us off going again.」

「Knoll House has a lot going for it - the location is fantastic, the facilities are good and there’s loads of space. It could be great, but our experience was of a hotel that is unloved and needs someone to take real pride in it to help it reach its potential. On arrival, the welcome was very brief. 「Friendly helpful staff. Courtyard room very small and although there was an air cooler it was useless. We took our Dyson fan with us and hardly slept on the first night. Definitely need air conditioning in bedroom. Very nice breakfast with good menu. Inside The Orange Tree we found it very tired and needed a thorough clean eg windows, window ledge and ornaments adjacent to our breakfast table.
