「This is a hotel in a perfect location. It is so beautiful to look into the bay and so wonderful to be able to go on the most incredible coastal walks from the doorstep. Great to take the boat to Salcombe and explore from there. The room was lovely, but we were on the ground floor and looked out onto the bay, but also the decked area; so it wasn't very private. The」

「Went for wedding, was astonished at the route from hotel foyer to venue, especially with so many people attending. Found dining room food uninspired and breakfast cool even early.」

Unfortunately it was quite hot due to it being on the second floor and after a string of hotter than usual days, not helped by the fact that the heated towel rail (from the hot water system) couldn't be shut off. But a great old pub to stay in all the same. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant.」

This time we stayed in the Pond Suite, which was every bit as beautifully designed and comfortable as our previous accommodation, with lovely views across the surrounding countryside. 「Lovely Hotel in a great location. The views are stunning, the hotel is located directly on the beach. Our signature room was amazing, very clean, large bathroom, water bottles replaced every day and every amenity necessary. Restaurant was fabulous, with a great , varied menu. Very friendly staff, and a well kept, clean beach. Would definitely recommend this hotel.」

「Due to a wedding in the property, which we were not warned about (apparently Hotel can't contact Expedia customers), we got very little sleep. Some of the wedding guests decided to have their own party/social event between 2:30 AM - 5:30 AM meaning we got virtually no sleep. Rang reception to inform them of the noise at 3.45am. They told us they couldn't do anything and to ask for financial compensation when we checked out in the morning. Such a shame as the room was beautiful and we were...

「We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. 」

「I would definitely recommend this hotel. My wife and I stayed in an apartment, which had a large kitchen with all the amenities you would need. It had a hob, an oven, microwave and fridge, plus a toaster and even a caffatiere. The bedroom, living area and bathroom were a good size and really comfortablex the bar in the hotel had a great decking area with a great view over the river and down towards Teignmouth.
