Not great I'm afraid. The front desk desk staff were not welcoming- the lady on late at night when we checked in was downright rude. She ignored us and then insisted I filled out details of my car even though I wasn't using the hotel car park before giving us our keys. Ok if you need somewhere for an overnight, but I won't be returning.

The price was very reasonable for a 4 star property but it certainly did not feel 4 star as the property was very tired and in need of a refresh and update. Breakfast nice but service slow and a little sloppy. Staff need training on handling plates and glasses when serving and paying attention. Scrambled eggs overcooked. Service slow on one day, took them 20 minutes just to take coffee order.

Food was really good. Had 3 course evening meal and 3 course breakfast. We were really happy with food and room. Building a bit tired but it’s understandable for age of it. Only downside had a yappy dog next door to us.

I really liked this hotel, it was our second visit but, they completely messed up our dinner. We pre ordered the roast pork but, unfortunately they ran out! We ended up with ham, egg and chips which was laughable, the ham looked like thinly sliced spam, the egg was overcooked and we had a few oven chips! It was so bad we got up and walked out, which i have never done before and I’m 67! I have emailed the hotel but, no reply! We won’t be going back!

Warm welcome on arrival, nice clean comfy room with a sea view. The hotel is in a great location across the road from the beach and a one minute walk from Torbay Road with the shops and places to eat. We had the evening meal in the hotel which was lovely and a great price also the breakfast was very nice the next morning. Would stay here again.
