Barceló Bávaro Palace - All Inclusive

"Our check-in process was wonderful, and we were initially very pleased. However, we encountered multiple room issues that significantly impacted our stay. In our first room on the 2nd floor, the phone was not working, making it impossible to communicate with staff. The bathroom faucet only produced hot water for three days, making it uncomfortable to wash our hands, and the refrigerator was not cooling our drinks. Most importantly, the balcony rail guard was broken, posing a severe safety hazard. Once we approached the front desk, we spoke with Santa, who was very helpful. She addressed the issue immediately and moved us to a second room located on the 4th floor. Because of this move, we had to use the elevator. Unfortunately, the elevator close to the beachside wing was completely broken. There were no warning signs posted, and no notices acknowledging the inconvenience. We were forced to take the stairs to the 4th floor, which was a major issue and an unacceptable physical burden when moving luggage. To make matters worse, the situation inside the 2nd room went from bad to worse. The shower pressure was extremely low, the main shower head only produced cold water (forcing us to use the handheld attachment for hot water), and the room scale was broken, making it impossible to weigh our luggage. The blow dryer buttons were also defective; you had to manually hold down a main button just to get it to turn on, while the actual speed and heat settings (positions one and two)"

"The rooms were huge, tons of space. All suites came with a balcony and jacuzzi. Rooms were clean with small exceptions, stains on sofa from normal wear and tear. We loved that pool area always had chairs to relax and cabanas were available at no extra cost. Food was really good and alcohol was top shelf. For the most part staff was super friendly and helpful."

"My family and I came back to this hotel for the second time this year. Having been there last year, we were able to notice a few things, and not for the better. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is still very nice and well maintained. My message is mostly for management. I think the staff is still AMAZING, we truly had a great time and enjoyed every second of our vacation. However,... - Elevator was broken, at least the one next to our room which was on the second floor. So, we had to use stairs every time. It's okay for us but for a handicapped person might be impossible to do. - Our room door broke on the second day [latch would not close, the hinge was loose], and we had to sleep with the door unlocked as the issue was not resolved. I had to put a chair behind the door as I could not fall asleep. Eventually, nothing happened but it was uncomfortable. It got fixed eventually. -The restaurants are extremely hot; the air is bad and really hot inside. I just wish management would take care of these issues before it becomes a bigger problem, the hotel is really nice. New Serenade Hotel just opened next door. I am sure is beautiful but so is this existing location. Havind said that I also want to mention again that the staff is AMAZING, the FOOD is GREAT, and the rooms are really big, spacious and cold, which is what matters indeed. We saw some waiters for the second time this time, SUSANA, Gracias por todo!"

"We truly enjoyed our stay at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana! The resort is absolutely beautiful, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. The waiters, bartenders, and everyone else were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!"
